Exotic Locals With Familiar People!

Patsy, Bec, Jacob and I went to the zoo yesterday, and saw many wonderful and exotic animals and some familiar ones too. We left in the morning and drove down to the Virginia Zoological Park in Ocean View, Virginia. They have many worlds to be discovered there. We saw a creature called a Skink. Creepy guy! Some of the things we saw were not so exotic but strangely beautiful all the same, like the porcupine. Who knew their white tipped quills were so gorgeous? I never thought about it before.

Jacob had a wonderful time, and was such a good boy. He loved the giraffes and lions, and most of all, he loved being outside on a beautiful day.

After we had our fill at the zoo we went to a hot dog and barbecue place, and bought some bag lunches, and took them down to the beach. We sat there and ate and looked at the ocean, and breathed the salt air. Then we climbed in the car, full, tired and satisfied and began the drive home. There were several accidents and the traffic was extremely slow at times, but it didn't seem to matter. We laughed and talked and enjoyed our way back home.

It was a day of fun in exotic places with familiar buddies. What could be better? Nothing!
