New Year's Eve 2005
Bear with me. I know these are old photos, and a post about an event that took place months ago, but I'm trying to make a scrapbook on this blog, and I need to do a little update.
These are photos taken on New Years Eve at the 'Farm'. Our friends: Doug, Maria and Nona and their family live on a huge farm. We've had many wonderful times there; they love to throw huge parties, and feed us until we can't move. New Years Eve was such an event. They usually have a bonfire down by the pond every October when they have their annual fall party, but it was too dry this past October. Hence, the New Year's Eve bonfire was born. What a sight. You could feel the heat from a great distance, and it smoldered for days and days after.
Jacob and Sophie had a great time running all over the place. Open spaces are made for children and vice versa. The evening was very comfortable, with just enough chill in the air for the fire to chase away. Good friends, good food, good wine, and a good time were had by all. Happy New Year.
